Belmont Abbey College is a private, Catholic liberal arts college in Belmont, North Carolina. Founded in 1876 by the Benedictine monks of Belmont Abbey. The school affiliates with the Catholic Church. However, the College does not only offer a religious experience, nor does it require students to partake.

The College offers a very personable approach to education. Belmont has a small student body with a strong ratio of teachers to students. Therefore, incoming international student athletes are well looked after by Belmont staff. Students feel supported throughout their academic and athletics life in a beautiful campus in North Carolina.

The brand new men’s varsity rugby program will be one to watch as with many of the new programs. They have funding, they have college support and because of this they can recruit some quality U.S talent as well as some of the finest international rugby players around the world. The next few seasons will be very exciting for the program.

Nick Withrow heads up the program bring years of coaching experience to the program. With many small college programs the role of Coach Withrow will be not just to recruit competitive players, but also fine young men who will go on to great things after their time studying at Belmont.
