D1 Champion and Man of The Match
Huge congratulations goes out to one of our 2021 Elite Rugby Scholars, Matthew Conroy. Matthew aided St Bonaventure University in their 19-18 victory over Penn State University to win the NCR Division 1 Championship.
The hooker/back row from Glasgow, Scotland joined the Bonnies back in August where has been an immediate impact player. The national championships were played at home of the MLR side Houston Sabercats, the Aveva Stadium Houston TX.
NCR (National College Rugby) is one of the largest governing bodies of the college game in America. Hundreds of colleges play under this banner and for St Bonaventure to win this year shows how strong a program they run in up-state New York. We done again Matthew and looking forward to watching the rest of y9our college rugby career after a hugely successful first semester.
