Welcome to Elite Rugby Scholar Scout - Carla Godsman

Carla joins us from Glasgow, Scotland to assist in our recruitment of talented female rugby players. With Women's Rugby now an NCAA "Emerging Sport" there is a huge amount of support going in to grow the game and fill collegiate programs with American and International players.

Carla was a D1 field hockey player at The University of Vermont. Graduating in 2019, she earned her degree in Business Administration, concentrating in marketing and minoring in psychology. She enjoyed the U.S University system as she was exposed to a variety of courses early on and was able to choose what interested her most, whilst exploring other topics outside of business

The University of Vermont is highly prestigious academic and sporting institution in the Northeast of the United States.

Being both a graduate and scholarship player, Carla understands the commitment it takes to be a student athlete and is now actively recruiting players for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Carla was an avid athlete and began playing hockey at The High School of Glasgow. She played club for GHK Ladies and represented the West District at various age groups. Carla joined The University of Vermont catamounts in 2015, playing in the America East Conference. In her final year, the coaching staff arranged a pre-season trip to be held in Glasgow where the team played a mixture of Scotland U18/U21s .

Carla and her family organised a variety of activities for the girls including a trip to Edinburgh castle, a burns supper and a ceilidh. She served as a team captain and the squad made it to conference championships held at Stanford University.

We are truly delighted to have Carla working with us to grow the Women's game in the U.S.
